Four years ago Charlie was so afraid.

Charlie inspires us to understand that growing up has gotten so much harder. Every aspect of adolescence is amplified by social media and the continued aftermath of a global pandemic.

‘We adults see a man when we look at that stature. Man-size expectations, even if they aren’t overtly expressed, are always too big for what is still a boy. Expectations that didn’t anticipate boy-size mistakes, and exasperation and disapproval ensue. A boy trusts the adult world to guide him as he grows and receive redemption on the other side. A boy needs that reassuring love that fills in his confidence, that mistakes shake until he remounts the hill and knows he can start again.’

Stay tuned for an update on encouraging progress.
